Nursing 1-to-1
Computer Requirement
Students accepted into the Nursing program are required to have their own personal laptop computer, required software, and other equipment as listed in the document below. Please contact nursing@kirkwood.edu or eagletech@kirkwood.edu with any questions.
Minimum Hardware Requirements
- Non ARM or Mobile processor
- 8+ GB of RAM
- 64GB or more storage
- Windows or capability of running it
- Webcam, microphone, and headphones
Software Requirements
- Examplify/ExamSoft
- ATI Testing
- EPIC
Examplify Touch Screen Requirements
If your laptop has a touch screen, it must be disabled to run Examplify. See instructions on how to do so HERE
Kirkwood's EagleTech has worked closely with the Nursing Department and have selected a range of devices that will work well for your Nursing experience. All models are available for purchase through EagleTech at educational pricing, tax-free, and you can use your financial aid to make your purchase. Mac OS systems have been known to not work as well with the Nursing Program software packages, so purchase with caution. iPads and Chromebooks will not work.
