Computer Requirement

Students accepted into the Medical Assisting program are required to have their own personal laptop computer. The computer and must be ready to use by the first day of class. If you already have access to a laptop that you think would meet the minimum specifications listed below, an evaluation of the system specifications will need to be done by Medical Assisting faculty, or EagleTech staff for approval to use as a substitution to this requirement.

Kirkwood's EagleTech has worked closely with the Medical Assisting Department and have selected a range of devices that will work well for your experience. All models are available for purchase through EagleTech at educational pricing, tax-free, and you can use your financial aid to make your purchase. MacBooks WILL work. iPads and Chromebooks WILL NOT work.
